Committee

The day-to-day management of the Association is undertaken by the elected Officers of the Association who are known as the Executive.

These officers are elected at the AGM and for 2010-11 are:

The President (June Clarke), the President Elect* (To be elected at the 2011 AGM), the Chair (Chris Berwick), the Honorary Secretary (June Clarke), and the Honorary Treasurer (Acting Treaurer June Clarke)

*Presidents are elected for 2 years

The General Committee consists of 

  1. The Executive (the five officers of the Executive)
  2. No more than 3 representatives from each affiliated club (a full list of affiliated clubs for 2010 will appear below soon)
  3. The Life Vice-Presidents: Cliff Baguley, Ken Bray, CW Harvey, Ed Toft, Richard Float, John Harper, Alan Loasby, Anne Bray.
  4. The Vice-Presidents: Gordon Ward, Peter Markham, Peter Leach, George Cole, Mick Loach, Sylvia Markham, June Clarke, Derek Johnson, Chris Smith.
  5. The Assistant Secretaries & Team Managers

Track & Field**: June Clarke; Technical Officials: Cherie D'Silva; XC: John Heywood (TBC); Road-Running: Carol Fossard; Race Walking: Peter Markham; Press & Publicity: No-one for 2010.

Team Managers (UK CAU Road: John Skevington; UK CAU XC: Ian Wilson - Senior & U20 women; Paul Blissett - girls; Wayne Walker - Men & boys; UK CAU Track & Field: Roger Binks; Junior Inter Counties (T&F): Kelly King: Sportshall: Liz Hinds 

**The Committee have also elected a Track & Field sub-committee from its membership: June Clarke, Cherie D'Silva, Kevin Mee, and Derek Johnson.

*** In 2009 the Committee also elected an Endurance sub-committee from its membership: Ted Toft, John Heywood, Peter Osborne. (the details for 2010 are awaited)

The Constitution of L&RAA was revised in 2004. You can click on this link to the Constitution to download a copy. There is also a Code of Conduct but currently this is not available in a version other than paper (unless you can scan a copy and send it to us). All affiliated clubs were sent these documents in 2004.
